Hualien earthquake charity event

On 9 March and 11 March, PCT and a group of Japanese artists held "Hualien earthquake relief concerts" at the Tsai Jui-Yueh Dance Research Institute in Taipei and the Hualien Cultural Creative Industries Park. Passionate Japanese artists who were concerned about the Hualien earthquake performed their best for the charity event.

It is encouraging to work with passionate Japanese artists who were concerned about the Hualien earthquake. Rena Masuyama, the director of the documentary file and the initiator of this charity performance, painted a butterfly which symbolizes a promising future for Hualien. Jun Amanto, a founder of Kabuku-mai dance, presented his energetic and unique dance that expressed the power of beauty and nature. Mitsuko Arita, the master of Japanese embroidery, donated her precious art work—"Flower" for the charity event.

When attending the Ecumenical and International Relations Committee meeting on March 15, PCT moderator Beng-Chi Tan and Vice moderator Po-Tsan Hsieh expressed their gratitude toward these warmhearted Japanese artists. These Japanese artists not only brought great performances to the audience, but they also made donations for the Hualien earthquake.
