Taiwan Church News 3245 Edition May 5 - May 11, 2014 Headline News To Serve Eastern Taiwan With More Love, A Brand New Medi-Care Building Of Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch Is Opened! Reported by Chen Yi-hsuan After 2 years of building and installation, the brand new medic-care building, named as Grace House, affiliated to Mackay Memorial Hospital Taitung Branch(MMHTB), is formally opened on 1 May 2014. PCT church leaders, Mackay Memorial Hospital officials and Taitung County Magistrate attend this excited moment to witness God's wonderful blessing and grace to Eastern Taiwan. Over 27 years, MMHTB has relentlessly offered her medic-care service to the people lived in Easter Taiwan and off-islands. Seeing the increasing demands for critical care and emergency treatment from the local people, MMHTB decided to construct a new medic-care building to respond and witness God's enduring love in Eastern Taiwan. Rev. Lo Ren-quei, PCT General Assembly Moderator, delivers his sermon, titled as "The Will of God Is Always in My Heart", encouraging the staff of MMHTB do their best to serve with love, care and faith from God to overcome kinds of challenges and difficulties. Mrs. Chen Shu-chu, a vegetable seller in common market yet a famous Taiwanese philanthropist who was granted Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2012, also attends the opening ceremony of this new medic-care building. She is appreciated and honored by her generous donation, a money reward from Magsaysay Award - US$ 50,000, to MMHTB. Dr. Wang Gon-liang, the newly-elected President of MMHTB, who is specialized in the women cancer treatment, promises to invest more medical resources, facilities with quality physicians and nurses, in order to reach the goal of this new medic-care building: Treat the emergency case immediately, and serve the local demand on critical care!
