Southern Taiwan Cares The Disabled Via Celebrating 123 International Day of Persons With Disabilities

Reported by Lin Wan-ting

To call Taiwan society to care for the actual demands of the disabled, a series of activities including wheelchair sport, entertaining baseball and various theme-park events to experience the inconveniences of the disabled are held at National Ping Tung Industrial Vocational High School on November 3, 2018.

Before the opening of this charity campaign, many student bands and church choir, including Grape Tree Repercussion Group, Micah Church Flute Team, Band of Ping Tung University’s Music Department, Chang-Zeh Taiko Drum and Code Black Band, are invited to play their musics for this event. The Love To Play opera troupe, organized and trained via the empowering programs of Ping Tung Welfare Service Center for The Disabled, play the finale to praise and confirm the harmonious beauty between the wheelchair and human body.

Mr Pan Meng-an, magistrate of Ping Tung County, also comes to the site to pay his greetings to the attending people, institutes and companies. Except delivering a speech to the audience, pledging his county administration not only attends to improve the catering and communication service for the disabled but also works hard to provide more barrier-free infrastructures in the public space, Mr Pang also participates in many theme-parks activities to show his care for persons with disabilities and call the public to care more for the disabled in Taiwan society.
