Sponsored by CWM, Council of World Mission, a series of seminars called “Hearing God’s Cry” was launched at Bunun Cultural and Educational Foundation in Taitung on June 26.

This is a new CWM campaign, cooperating with PCT, planning to offer a biblical/ theological reflection for contemporary church facing more and more apparent God’s cries like poverty, crimes, discrimination, terrorism and etc. In the meantime, diverse missionary practices among local contexts are also suggested to keep reforming the social structures, institutes, relation network, personalities, thoughts and souls of modern society.

In the opening service of the seminar, opened on June 26, Rev Abus Takisvilainan, Deputy Secretary of PCT General Assembly, delivered her sermon entitled “To Know and Follow the Voice of the Good Shepherd”; Rev Lian Chin-siong, secretary of PCT Ecumenical Relations Committee, introduced to the audience why and how this series of seminars was held by CWM; Rev Sudu Tada, secretary of PCT Indigenous Ministry Committee, shared some sad stories on how the aboriginal girls were abducted by human traffickers from the mountains and forced to be work as prostitutes in the brothels, and explained how PCT launched a Rainbow Women Ministry to rescue and care these sexually exploited aboriginal girls from 1987.
