Taiwan Church News 3428 Edition November 6 – 12, 2017 Church Ministry Korean Evangelical Church Visits PCT General Assembly Office For Ministry Cooperation Reported by Chen Yi-fan In the morning on November 1st, five pastors of Korean Evangelical Church(KEC), incuding Rev Lee Yang-Ho(President), Rev Yun Chang-Soeb, Rev Lee Chul-Ho and Rev Jamg Mi-Sun, came to visit Rev Lyim Hong-tong, PCT General Secretary and his staffs, at PCT General Assembly Office. During the meeting, several agreements were made on ministry cooperation between KEC and PCT in the future, for example, launching a mutual visit to each other’s general assembly from 2018 and more contacts between seminaries and church-related institutes to facilitate future ministries of both sides. Established in 1935 with less members than the denominations like PCK and PROK, though, KEC is an official member of National Christian Council in Korea(NCCK) and closely allied with Korean independence movement after WWII, according to Evangelist Lian Chin-siong, adding that KEC is also a church strongly committed to base Christian faith on renewal life experience and establish a Christian faith via evangelical mission on indigenous Korean soil.
