Commemorating PCT 150, PCT Joins The Movement Of Taiwan Coastal Cleanup

To commemorate PCT 150 and support the movement of International Coastal Cleanup, PCT Church and SocietyCommittee decided to respond and cleanup the polluted Taiwan coasts on September 20.

Co-hosted with every Environmental Protection Bureaus in local governments, Taiwan Environment Protection Union, Taiwan Environmental Information Center and other organizations, this PCT environmental ministry is estimated to recruit 10,000 PCT members at least to cleanup 40 polluted coasts around Taiwan. This is also a faith in action, learning how to "responsibly manage the world and the beautiful Taiwan country together with God".

Except encouraging all PCT congregations to take part into this coastal cleanup event, PCT General Assembly prepare tooffer every PCT registered participant an environmental bag souvenir made by Lily Textile Workshop of the Women Ministry Committee in Rukai Presbytery.

The major sites of this Taiwan Coastal Cleanup movement, co-hosted by PCT Presbyteries or Districts, are specifiedas below: Nanbing Park(Eastern Presbytery), Out-Kiyama Harbor(Chi-hsin Presbytery), Shiangshan Wetland(Hsin-chu Presbytery), Midori Kawa(Taichung Presbytery), An-ping Sihcao Wetland(Tainan Presbytery), Kidin Coast(Kaohsiung and So-san Presbytery), Ton-kang Zhen-hai Park(Ping-tong Presbytery), Hsiu-ku-luan River(Amis Presbytery), Nan-an Falls(Bunun Presbytery), Chihsingtan Beach(Amis Presbytery), Witai Tamikawa Bridge(Rukai Presbytery) and etc.
