Taiwan Church News 3281 Edition January 12 - 18, 2015 Church Ministry JE SUIS CHARLIE - The Shooting Rampage Victims In Charlie Hebdo And Supermarket Are Commemorated By French Community And The Public In TaiwanReported by Chiu Kuo-rong After the shocking news of the incredible massacre of the Paris headquarter of Charlie Hebdo, a renown French satirical weekly magazine, resulting 12 people dead including magazine editors, staffs and policemen on January 7, waves of condolences and support for freedom of speech and journalism are henceforth swept across the world. On January 8, Alliance Francaise de Taiwan express their commemoration and start to receive condolence and solidarity support from the Taiwan society at their office. In the evening of January 9, about 500 people in both Kaohsiung and Taipei's Liberty Square hold the vigils to commemorate the victims; every participating member brings kinds of pen or holds a placard, read "JE SUIS CHARLIE" in French, English or Chinese, expressing the strongest support for the freedom of speech and journalism.
