Jubilance Singers And Orchestra Brings Peace And Good News To Traumatic Taiwan In August

Reported by Hwang Yi-lek

Invited by PCT Evangelical Committee to boost her 101 evangelical program, the famous Canadian evangelical music fellowship - Jubilance Singers and Orchestra(JSO) - arrives Taiwan amid the so-called ghost month to deliver good news in peaceful music by an one-month music tour.

Started from Lo-Tong Presbyterian Church of Chi-shing Presbytery, the JSO evangelical music tour has 15 stops around Taiwan, including Mackay Memorial Hospital, Sinlau Hospital, Joyce McMillan Social Welfare Foundation, The Mustard Seed Children's Home and Hualien Youth Home, Tamkang High School and Hsin-yih Junior High School.

JSO comes to Tainan East Gate Barclay Memorial Church in a heavy rain-fall night of August 12. Rev. Lo Ren-quei, Director Pastor of East Gate Barclay Memorial Church and also Moderator of PCT General Assembly, praises JSO as a wonderful musical group itinerating 44 countries in last 32 years only to convince everyone that God is so good and great. "This is because music is the best communication even in contexts within different languages", said Rev. Lo.

Mr. Manne Idesrom, captain and conductor of JSO, witnesses in this evangelical itinerary that he initially declined the calling from God, but finally summoned to serve Him in musical ministry after his life had been radically changed by God and felt born again. Idestrom said to the audience, "Why I tell you my witness story? Because I wish you will understand that Jesus also has a very good plan for you. And that plan will bring you hope!".
