CWM: Diploma in Eco-Justice Ministries 2020-2021 launched

Applications are open for the Diploma in Eco-Justice Ministries 2020-2021, an online programme initiated by Council for World Mission (CWM) and offered by the United Theological College, Bengaluru, India.

Students, professionals, clergy, and people leading social service departments who enrol successfully can expect to learn to discern ecological crisis as an urgent justice issue; identify theological liturgies and sermons; prepare ecological liturgies and sermons; and enable congregations and communities to be involved in eco-justice ministries.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University, preferably two years of ministry experience, and are required to complete all the requirements of the course curriculum. The curriculum includes three courses on “Ecological Injustice and Search for Alternatives”, “Biblical and Theological Foundations of Eco-Justice Ministries”, and “Re-imagining Christian Ministry and Public Witness”, as well as a research project on Eco-Justice Ministries.

If you are passionate about understanding the ecological crisis, engaging in theological and biblical reflections on eco-justice, and committed to lead eco-justice ministries in churches and grassroots communities, you are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is 30 September 2020 and the course fee for Indian applicants is Rs 2,000 and $50 for overseas applicants.
