Pregnancy Support Center In Taichung Is Officially Unveiled To Help Un-married Young Mothers

Reported by Simon Lin

The Pregnancy Support Center(PSC), a branch institute of Taiwan Family's Life-Caring Association, is officiallyunveiled on January 13 among Feng-chia down town in Taichung City. PSC was initiated in 2012 by Gloria and Lana, whose parents were missionaries long served in Taiwan, intending to help many young mothers pregnant unexpectedly to preserve and deliver their babies. Representatives from Tainan's Ray of Hope and Kaohsiung's Taiwan Xi En, whose ministries had inspired and supported PSC, also take part in this opening ceremony of PSC.

PSC points out that many un-married young mothers usually chose hasty abortions, especially when they foundthemselves pregnant unexpectedly in a helpless turmoil. But, insisting that each life has its unique value before God, Gloria, one of the founders of PSC, believes that it is the greatest love when the pregnant young mother decides to deliver her baby.

Through a series of professional counselling or psychiatric therapy to help every young mother, be her choice as pregnancy or abortion, locating the necessary support, resources and the re-inhabited care before/after delivery, PSC wishes to support these un-married young mothers to find out a way of life either by delivering their babies or acknowledging a possible adoption in the future.

Gloria gives her thanksgiving to Rev. Tu Ming-dah of The Grace Church in Taichung City for his long-term offering of the office and relatedfacilities to PSC. Rev. Tu also remarks that he is deeply appreciates of PSC's pioneering ministry of serving these un-married young mothers, as it is estimated that over an alarming 400,000 cases of abortion occasioned annually in Taiwan and the ministry of PSC has set up a good example for other churches to follow!

As PSC needs a long-term supply of baby diapers and milk powder, please contact PSC's phone call at 886-4-2451-1123 for an offering or donation.
