Pandemic and Pedagogy: An Ecumenical Consultation on Theological Education Online event on July 7, 2023, 14:00-16:00 CEST. “Pandemic and Pedagogy” was the title of a hybrid global conference, hosted by Trinity Theological Seminary, Accra, Ghana from 5-7 December 2022. 81 participants from all over the world came together at the Trinity campus or joined online. They discussed the benefits of online modalities for theological education and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Beyond the inflicted traumata and loss of lives it gave many schools a thrust towards online education which otherwise would not have been able to continue. The time had come to reflect together on the pedagogical challenges of the changed situation for Theological education. The participants drafted a communiqué with salient insights and questions for the future of theological education, which we attach to this save the date. At this online event, we intend to share the content of the communiqué and we invite to form a network of online education for sharing of persons, ideas and resources.
