In March 2013, I travelled to Taiwan at the invitation of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT). My mandate was to write about PCT mission initiatives in the country. While in Taiwan I was pleased to also be able to interview both the outgoing General Secretary, Te-Chien (Andrew) Chang, who retires in July of this year and his successor, Hongtiong Lyim. The following six stories come from the trip. I am grateful to PCT for this opportunity. I thank the church’s former Ecumenical Officer, Hong Chi Hu, for organizing the trip prior to accepting a call to serve a parish in Taiwan. WCRC would welcome similar invitations from member churches to share stories of their faith in action. Kristine Greenaway Executive Secretary, Communications |
