29 August 2017 Presbyterian Church (USA) Dear Sisters and Brothers On behalf of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT) we write these few words to express our concern on hearing the news reports of the Tropical Storm Harvey which has hit Texas the past weekend with devastating results. Please know we are praying with you at this time. We understand fully it is difficult to estimate immediately the total damage incurred and long term clean up and reconstructions tasks the people of Texas will face in the coming weeks and months; however, when such data is available the PCT would appreciate hearing from you about the extent of the disaster and in particular how it has effected church members, congregations and buildings so we can share this news with our constituent members. Secondly, we would appreciate knowing how to send donations in support of the victims of this disaster – kindly provide related bank account information and contact persons so on. May the Lord of hope sustain the victims, your churches and your country as you deal with the aftermath and prepare for further predicted rainfall the coming days. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 Yours sincerely in Christ | 陳明志 Rev.
