30 June 2017 Dear Sister and Brothers On behalf of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT) 62nd General Assembly Executive Committee we are pleased to formally announce the appointments of the PCT General Secretariat and Programme Secretaries for the next term (2017-2021). First of all, however, we express our gratitude to God for the Programme Secretaries and their support staff who served the PCT faithfully the past four years. This new term several significant changes take place; six executive secretaries conclude their service, while others are changing desks and we extend a warm welcome to five new secretariats! There are also similar changes among support staff. With this letter please find a complete name list and contact information for the new PCT General Assembly team. These appointments are effective as of 1 July 2017. Please note the following changes which relate to our international partners in particular. Associate General Secretary, Dr. Victor W. C. Hsu is retiring and Programme Secretary, Rev. Yeh Ching-An has completed his term. We thank them both for their service and valuable contribution and wish them and their families well in the future. Victor is to take up a new post with the Taiwan Church Press and will act as ecumenical advisor to PCT while Ching-An accepted a call to pastor a PCT congregation in Changhua. Going forward, the primary contact for the administration and mission tasks of the PCT-GA including Ecumenical and International Relations continues to be the General Secretary, Rev. Lyim Hong-Tiong <gs@mail.pct.org.tw>. The GS works closely with the Programme Secretary for Ecumenical Relations Committee, and welcomes to that post a new colleague Evangelist Joshua Lian. As in the past PCT programme secretaries are delegated to liaise with counterpart departments of your church according to specific areas of ministry needs. Lastly, on 17 July 2017 at Lam-Mng Presbyterian Church in Taipei, the Installation Service for PCT’s Associate General Secretaries, Rev. ‘Eleng Tjaljimaraw, (reappointment), Rev. TSAI Nan-Hsin and Rev. CHEN Yi-Ming (new positions) and all Programme Secretaries will take place. We covet your prayers for that special day and the coming weeks as we seek the Lord’s guidance and strength during this period of transition for our PCT General Assembly colleagues at all levels. The PCT deeply values our partnerships in mission and ecumenical circles around the globe. We look forward to continued fellowship and cooperation in the future. Yours sincerely in Christ
