Taiwan Churches Hold Sport Games To Experience And Witness The Communion

Reported by Lin Yi-yin

A cross-denominational sport game joined by about 300 people for the disabled and Christian churches/institutes, including NCCT(The National Council of Churches of Taiwan) members like Catholics, Anglicans, YMCA, Methodist Church and PCT, is held at Aletheia University on October 6.

Mr Yu Chong-jen, CEO of Taiwan Christian Service which is the organizer of this Christian sport game, expresses that the goal of this contest is to forge and facilitate a cross-denominational communion spirit via kinds of ball game or competition in track and field.

Without awarding the commonly named medals of gold, silver and copper, the prizes granted are called “Social Harmony Award”, “Ecumenical Award” and “Global Fellowship Award” to remind Taiwan church and the public that the spirit of communion holds Taiwan Christians together to experience the kindness, goodness and amazing love from God.
