Rev Colin Cowan Calls Ecumenical Youth To Serve And Act In CWM-TIM Graduation Ceremony

Reported by Lin Yi-yin

On November 28, Rev Dr Collin Cowan came to attend the graduation ceremony of CWM-TIM(Council of World Mission – Training In Mission) at Ku-Ting Presbyterian Church of Chi-Hsin Presbytery and granted the 2017 TIM graduation certificates to 10 young students recruited from ecumenical churches. Rev Dr Cowan gave aspecial thanks to PCT for hosting the 2017 CWM-TIM project with full support.

In his speech to these graduated church youth, Rev Dr Cowan encouraged them to become Jesus Christ’s special utensils intending not only to serve mother church with creative ministry but also to pull ecumenical churches more closer through their precious fraternal connection.

Granting 2017 CWM-TIM certificates to these youth, Rev Dr Cowan paid them his utmost congratulation having passed so many kinds of cultural challenge and missionary training after 7 months long learning across 4 different countries, including New Zealand, Fiji, Kiribati and Taiwan.

Rev Dr Cowan sincerely hoped these youth respond CWM’s call sending them back to their own mother churches to facilitate missionary ministries and, in a world still full of killing, hunger, war, sexual abuse, rape and family violence, let more people to understand what God’s justice and compassion mean for those marginalized people living in darkness without hope?
