Taiwan Church News 3292 Edition March 30 - April 5, 2015 Church Ministry Remembering Missionary Ms Kathleen Moody, A Multiflora Rose Tree Is Planted In Front Of TTCS Chapel Reported by Hwang Yi-lek Missionary Ms Kathleen Moody, aged 94, who established the music department in Tainan Theological Seminary and College(TTCS) and exerted a great influence on Taiwan's music education, died in UK on August 4th 2014. To commemorate her pioneering spirit, TTCS held a memorial service and planted a white multiflora rose tree in front of the chapel before the traditional Tomb-Sweeping Day. In the morning on March 26, about 100 TTCS students and faculties attended this memorial service. Rev. Hu Chon-ming, Chairman of TTCS, gave his sermon entitled as "Remember and Imitate". Quoting from Hebrews 13:7, Rev. Hu encouraged the audience to remember what Ms Katheleen Moody had done to Taiwan church and imitate her abiding faith. Dr. Elisabeth Gidengil, niece of Ms Katheleen Moody, was also invited to attend this memorial service. Former TTCS President, Rev. Dr. Hsiao Chin-fen, took part in this service and shared his vivid memories and sincere thanksgiving to his old colleague - Ms Katheleen Moody. Rev.
