Greetings from PC(USA)

Rev. Chang Te-Chien (Andrew)
General Secretary
Presbyterian Church in Taiwan
3, Lane 269
Roosevelt Rd. Sec. 3
Taipei 10647 TAIWAN

To the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan:

It is my great honor to greet you on behalf of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Presbytery of New Covenant in Houston, Texas on the occasion of the 56th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. It is my joy to unite with you as one of many cultures in Christ’s church.

The theme of the General Assembly, “Let cultures flourish, let God’s justice take root,” sets a high standard for all Presbyterians in the world. It is vital that we remember that God is the author of all creation including the great diversity of cultures. When we stand for the flourishing of cultures, we join our divine Creator who blesses the world with a multiplicity of perspectives, traditions and languages.

Further, it is critical that we understand that God’s justice calls us to a higher purpose than human justice. It is my privilege to join you as together we plant God’s justice in our flourishing cultures so that the Kingdom of God will prevail in these tumultuous times.

In Christ’s service,

Mike Cole
General Presbyter, Presbytery of New Covenant
